Architektur im Zoo

The relationship of animals to architecture and architecture to animals has always been rather fraught. If current trends continue, in the twenty-first century architecture will vanish almost completely from zoos. But what kind of architecture is appropriate for a zoo? Only few publications have addressed this question. In her forthcoming book Natascha Meuser will therefore give a detailed and up-to-date overview of zoo architecture in the past twenty years, presenting fifty projects from Germany and other European countries. Apart from in-depth discussion the book will include a section with useful addresses, plans and other data, making it an important guide to the specialized field of planning and building in zoos.
