German General Consulat Kaliningrad

2006-2007

Today Kaliningrad is a Russian exclave; until the end of the Second World War it was a German city known as Königsberg. For this reason the German consulate general there has received a great deal of attention in the international media. In order to comply with a recent agreement between the EU and Russia, a provisional visa centre was established in an office building on ul. Leningradskaya. Its design presents a fresh and dynamic image of Germany while conforming to the strict security requirements of a diplomatic facility.
