German Consulate General Almaty

In addition to the German Embassy in Astana, a German consulate general was established in Almaty’s suburb of Gorni Gigant. The design for refurbishing the residential and office block needed to comply both with stringent anti-terrorism measures and with the Eurocode 8 provisions for earthquake resistant structures. The project was completed in summer 2008.
