Ambassade de France Astana

When the French Embassy in Kazakhstan moved from Almaty to Astana early in 2008, Meuser Architekten BDA was commissioned to draw up a design for 650 square metres of premium office space. The interior design conforms to French security requirements while featuring classic furniture by international star designers such as Mies van der Rohe, Charles Eames and Pierre Paulin. Visitors are welcomed in the lobby by floor-to-ceiling wallpaper illustrating the motif of the French flag. The project was supervised by the French Embassy in Moscow.
